Frequently Asked Questions
Our e-bikes are actually regular mountain bikes converted to e-bikes with an engine built in the back wheel so if you can ride a regular bicycle you can ride our e-bike.
In Jatiluwih we ride with the easy to use E-Bikes about half the tour on small quiet village roads and the other half we cycle with the electric bikes on small paths in the rice-fields where almost only the local farmers come. In South Ubud and Sanur we ride the E-Bikes on small roads in the rice-fields and through small villages. A few times we have to cycle partly on busier roads to get to the quiet parts
We offer our electric bike tours with or without transfers to/from your hotel or villa in South Bali. For Jatiluwih we can also include transfers to/from Lovina, Munduk, Bedugul.
Other areas can be done on request. Just send an email to check the timing and price.
For our E-Bike tours in Sanur we do not provide transfers as the start/end point of the electric bike tours is in the center of Sanur.
Yes, we often pick up guests from for example a hotel in south Bali together with their luggage and bring after the E-Bike tour to a different location. The luggage remains safely in the vehicle with the driver while you are cycling on our E-Bike tour. We charge a small fee as the transport becomes private.
All the roads where we cycle in Ubud and Sanur with the E-Bikes are nicely paved so the cycling is easy. Jatiluwih is in the hills and partly on farmer paths in rice terraces and they are not all nicely paved. #ebiketourbali #greenbikesbali #travelbali #Sanur
There is no age limit in Indonesia for riding an electric bike but all our E-Bikes are adult size so a min. height of 140/150 cm is recommended. We do offer a beautiful trekking option for families with children that are not tall enough. #greenbikesbali #ebiketourbali #authenticbali #ecofriendlytouos
We try to make our E-Bike tours as sustainable as possible for example by using re-usable drinking bottles during the tour, only hiring staff from the villages where we operate, the food we serve for the included meal is all locally grown and harvested… #greenbikesbali #ebiketourbali #sustainabletourism #traditionalbali
We go with the electric bikes to parts that are rarely visited by most tourists and show a unique and authentic part of this beautiful island. The E-bike tours are fun and interesting to do, you support the local economy and you actually see beautiful parts of Bali which you would otherwise miss. #ebiketourbali #Greenbukesbali #thingstodoinbali #whattodoinbali
Our 2 hour electric bike tours in Jatiluwih start at 10.00 am or 14.00 pm. Jatiluwih is about 700 meters above sea level so already a bit cooler than the lower lying areas.
The 1 hour E-Bike tours are operated only in the afternoon.
In South Ubud and Sanur we start our e-bike tours at 9.00 am and 14.00 pm. We start a bit early with cycling or after the midday to avoid the midday heat. Even though cycling on an en electric bike is a lot less strenuous then a regular bike, we are still in the tropics where any exercise will make one sweat. #ebiketourbali #greenbikesbali #cycling #holiday
For people that are not comfortable riding an E-Bike or for families with children that are not tall enough to ride our adult sized electric bikes we offer a trekking through the UNESCO site which partly goes along the same paths as the E-Bike tour. Our English speaking guide takes you on this trekking through rice fields and a local village.
The E-Bike tour is done at 9.00 am followed by an early lunch around 11.00-11.30. When lunch is finished the driver brings you to the starting point of the rafting and picks you up at the finish point to return to your hotel/villa. This is a nice day with different activities combined without having to make very long drives from one place to the next.
